System functioning
The process of collection and recycling of electrical waste relates to lots of entities performing important tasks in the entire process:
- waste generators – households and companies as final consumers of product, hand over the electrical waste at the relevant collection places (communities, collection sites, shops) thus securing correct disposal of them
- communities and collection sites perform the collection of electrical waste – they take over the electrical waste and hand it over for processing
- retail sellers – at purchase of new product they take over old product at the purchase of a new one and hand it over for processing
- transport companies transport electrical waste from collection places to processing and recycling companies
- processing and recycling companies they secure recycling, appreciation and environmentally suitable liquidation of electrical waste and hand over the recycled materials to production
- ENVIDOM coordinates, manages and financially secures the entire collection and recycling process of electrical waste
- producers/importers as participants of the ENVIDOM collective system respect the principles of eco-design and they participate in the entire process organizationally and financially
- the entire process is supervised by the relevant state authorities the main function of which is the management of registration and check of the fulfilment of obligations
